dc.descriptionEste artículo presenta la elaboración teórica construida con los aportes y aprendizajes logrados en las sesiones del grupo de la Línea de Investigación Niñez, juventud y familia, durante el transcurso de la Maestría en Desarrollo Educativo y Social -  cohorte 22: 2008-2010 -. El desarrollo de este escrito, de forma particular desarrolla la pregunta: En contextos institucionales de educación inicial, ¿cómo contribuyen las interacciones pedagógicas en la promoción de la participación en primera infancia?; para abordar la pregunta las autoras transitan por las representaciones que la sociedad, las instituciones educativas y los y las adultas constituyen en torno al desarrollo de los niños y niñas identificados en la primera infancia y dichas representaciones como dialogan y/o se contradicen con modelos pedagógicos, modelos políticos – como la democracia –, y con la perspectiva de derechos, particularmente el de la participación.
