The violence that has covered the world and the history of mankind, remains in force at this time and evidenced in the harmful actions and reactions with which many of the relationships that surround people are impregnated.     The school, despite being called the peace scenario, faces a lack of observable and worrisome recognition by students, so that young people end up hurting and hurting themselves regardless of the damage they cause to their classmates, their families and society in general, promoting and fueling more and more violence. This reality leads us to ask about the way in which the teacher assumes that Other and the encounter with him, because the teacher is in charge of thinking about pedagogy and promoting reflection on the Other and coexistence; its openness and way of recognizing the Other are essential in the pedagogical meeting.      Concerns like this in our school environments led us on a path of search for the unveiling of the senses of otherness in the educational practices of secondary school teachers; taking as reference the alterity proposed by Levinas, based on an ethic of responsibility for the Other, in addition to locating our pedagogical view in the approaches of authors such as Melich, Barcena, Skliar and Ortega among others, for whom education should be a scenario of ethical event and encounter with the Other.eng
